Introduction to She Speaks Truth

Happy Sunday and welcome. Welcome to She Speaks Truth, the podcast where we open God's word together without sugarcoating, without pretension, and without fear of tackling the hard truth. I'm your host, Tommy Lynn. And before we dive in, I want to share why this podcast exists and why I'm so passionate about doing it this way. Again, my name is Tommy Lynn. I'm an ordained minister evangelist. I was raised in the Baptist church. My entire childhood was shaped by the Bible. I didn't just attend church on Sundays. I went to a Baptist private school where scripture was part of every lesson. Later I attended Bible college to study God's word even more deeply. That foundation gave me lifelong respect for the seriousness of scripture Hallett. It should be rightly divided and carefully taught. Eventually, I became an ordained minister. And served in ministry for over eight years now. During that time, I've led Bible studies taught and walked alongside people through their own spiritual journeys. But let me be clear, this podcast isn't coming from someone who has it all together. I've back slid him before. I've strayed from God despite knowing better, and I. Felt the deep conviction and the tender mercy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who refused to let me go. I've also struggled with modern church culture. I've seen too much gossip, judgment, and hypocrisy, especially when people are most vulnerable and in need of grace. I know what it's like to long for a safe space. Where we can actually be real about our sins, our pain, and our questions, without worrying that it will become the next prayer chain rumor or Sunday gossip. That's why she Speaks. Truth exists. This podcast is my attempt to build the safe space, a place where we gather, not in person, but in spirit, to open the Bible together and let God speak. Okay. Not our opinions, not the latest fads are watered down teachings, but the living, breathing word of God. We'll use the King James version as our primary text because I believe in honoring the M depth and tradition of the translation. And I also use the new King James version to help clarify and study. But make no mistake, we're not here to cherry pick or avoid the hard passages. We're going to talk about real sin. We are going to confront what the Bible actually says about repentance, holiness, grace, and the cost of following Jesus Christ. Most of all, we're gonna talk about a real savior who loved us enough to die for those sins, who welcomes us back when we wander, who transforms hearts and lives. Not through empty religion, but through his spirit in his word.
